While holidaying in France, Jen Kornfeldt meets her ideal man in Spencer Aimes and the two swiftly tie the knot. But there is a catch: Spencer Aimes is a government-hired undercover hitman, and although he is more than happy to trade in his glamorous life of international intrigue for suburban marital bliss with Jen, it turns out that some elements of his former life have yet to be laid to rest. Spencer and Jen’s domestic idyll is shattered when they learn to their horror that hired assassins have been contracted to kill them, and they decide to go on the run to escape imminent death.

It’s gonna be a long day!”….and an even longer, pointless movie.

I wasn’t expecting Killers to be the best movie in the world and I’m not really much of a fan of Ashton Kutcher so I had no expectations for this and I was right to have none. The story has been done a million times before and done much better. It’s pretty basic and doesn’t really hold much excitement or unpredictability. The acting was pretty average, Katherine Heigl did a great job playing as her character Jen but Ashton Kutcher was very bland at times with his and wasn’t really funny. Heigl and Kutcher might look good but they weren’t convincing as a couple at all, there wasn’t much chemistry between them to make it believable. The characters weren’t interesting whatsoever and they were one-dimensional. The writing wasn’t very creative and remained bland and boring all through the movie and the direction followed behind closely. For a movie that is supposed to be a comedy, it didn’t do a very good job in the laughs department, it was lucky that I laughed a couple of times.

Killers is very boring, there’s nothing else I can say about it. Although there were a couple of times when the movie was a little bit funny, it’s not enough for a movie that lasts one hour and forty minutes. The writing wasn’t very good and not near enough interesting and the characters were written poorly. The direction was below average and I felt some of the scenes in the movie could have been executed much better. Moving on to the acting, I thought that Katherine Heigl did great playing her character but not even she could save this boring movie. I’m not really a fan of Ashton Kutcher and he doesn’t change my opinion in this as I thought he didn’t do a good job playing as Spencer. Overall, this tries to aim at the target to make you laugh but it misses by miles. Fans of The Bounty Hunter may like this and romantic action comedies (which is laughable to call this movie a comedy).

This is quite a bad movie. I wasn’t expecting anything award-winning but I didn’t realise it would be this bad. Katherine Heigl saves this from getting a 1 but even she couldn’t save this.
