Up follows the uplifting tale of 78-year-old balloon salesman Carl Fredricksen, who finally fulfils his lifelong dream of a great adventure when he ties thousands of balloons to his house and flies away to the wilds of South America. But he discovers all too late that his biggest nightmare has stowed away on the trip an overly optimistic 8-year-old Wilderness Explorer named Russell. Their journey to a lost world, where they encounter some strange, exotic and surprising characters, is filled with hilarity, emotion and wildly imaginative adventure.

Up, Up and away!

Pixar has done some pretty amazing movies over the years such as Toy Story, The Incredibles, Finding Nemo, WALL-E and now Pixar’s latest movie is Up which is just incredible. The story is great which is the quality you would expect from a Disney Pixar movie. The characters were brilliantly written and funny, especially Dug the dog and Russell. The animation was simply glorious and the voice acting was brilliant. The script was cleverly written with some lines that would humour children and adults alike. I can honestly say I can’t find much of a fault with this, Pixar have really outdone themselves.

Up delivers on everything that you’d expect from a family animation. It makes you laugh, makes you cry, makes you think and most importantly, it keeps you entertained. The direction of the movie was brilliantly done and the animation was stunning and it’s part of the reason why I adore this film, it’s so colourful and glorious. The characters were just fantastic to watch and the audience would instantly fall in love with them. The voice acting couldn’t have been any better as all of the actors really brought their characters to life.

I would have to say that, apart from Toy Story, this is the best Disney Pixar movie to date. I would recommend this movie to absolutely everybody, I can’t see how anyone could hate this movie.

Everything about it is close to perfect. It’s how an animation should be done, well done to the cast and crew for making such a marvellous movie
