When seventeen year-old Bella Swan leaves sunny Phoenix, Arizona and moves to the rainy town of Forks, she discovers her life will never be the same again, when she meets Edward Cullen, a boy hiding a dark secret. He’s a Vampire with an urge for human blood. However he does not wish to be a killer and now must turn to Bella, in the meantime controlling his urge for her blood and protecting her from three hungry Vampires, who would make Bella their next meal. Twilight is a very successful book series and now it’s going to be a successful movie series too. The story is entertaining and romantic bordering on cheesy but unfortunately fails to make the story believable. At the beginning, it was based around Bella and how she’s falling in love with the mysterious and strange Edward and how she’s convinced he’s something more than human which kept the interest for an hour. Unfortunately, after she finds out, the movie turned tedious for a few scenes and then picked up towards the end.

The acting was surprisingly good and the casting is near perfect, Kristen Stewart was great as Bella but sometimes Robert Pattinson’s acting was wooden. The actors who played Bella’s friends weren’t very good at all and became annoying very fast. The characters were mediocre, there were some you liked and some you found irritatingly dull such as Bella’s friends.

I’m a fan of Twilight and I’ve read all of the books and I wasn’t disappointed. It kept to the books quite well and I liked the whole romance aspect to it even if it is your cheesy sickly-sweet romantic movie. While hardcore Twilight fans will simply adore this (possibly because of Robert Pattinson or actually for the story), people who aren’t into Twilight may not find it interesting in the slightest. Hardcore Twilight fans will not find a single flaw. Overall, it is a good romantic movie. It’s nothing mind-blowing (if you was expecting it to be, you’ll be disappointed!) but it’s not as bad as people make out.
